Palawan is the western island in Philippines and it is famous for the ecotourism development throughout the island. From Puerto Princesa, the capital, I took a jeepney to Sabang. It was a 2 hours journey in a cheapest way. I was the only tourist in the jeepney and the little girl on my sidewere so impressed with my looking that she came all the way staring on me. The journey was easy and the ladies around mademe feel in comfortable with all the curious questioning.
Sabangis a tiny beach town where the life is slow and relax. The biggest attraction is the underground river. From the beach you walk the 5km through the jungle to the mouth of the river ,from there take a paddle boat into the cave. Just before the jungle trial there is a small but very scenic beach I stayed in Sabangfor 3 days and that was the first place in Palawanthat I left feeling my heart small. From here I took a bangka, Filipino traditional boat to Port Barton.

My darling Eliane, how wonderful your blog is – I have been into it from time to time to see where you are in the world. The photos you’ve taken are fantastic but why aren’t there any of you in them? I want to see a photo you – at least to show off your tan! I thought of you this week too with the Rio Carnival being on.
